The School of Health and Social Care at the University of Staffordshire, Stafford is seeking to appoint an external examiner for the following programme/s:

The MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and the post graduate certificate in Advanced Health Assessment and Clinical Judgement and Decision Making and the post graduate diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice. This external examiner post would focus on some of the generic modules and the modules within the clinical practice and leadership routes. Modules offered are the principles of assessment of minor injuries, the care and management of asthma and COPD, principles of physical assessment, leadership role in quality, innovation and change, advanced health assessment, clinical reasoning and decision making and the assessment in forensic practice. The external examiner role involves the approval of instruments of assessments, moderating samples of work, attending Assessment Boards and ensuring that standards of award are comparable with other institutions. The appointment will be with effect from 1st September 2018 until 31st August 2021. Programme details will be provided to the appointee and a full induction day will be offered.
