The Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine & Social Care is the largest faculty in the university. Our Faculty constantly pursues innovative approaches to develop and deliver curricula to meet the ever-changing educational needs of the Health and Social Care workforce. The Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including doctoral level studies. Our provision at Chelmsford includes a three-year BSc Adult/BSc Child or BSc Mental Health and now our newly started four-year dual award courses BSc Child and Mental Health Nursing & BSc Adult and Mental Health Nursing. More recently we have expanded our portfolio to encompass Higher Apprentice Assistant Practitioners, Nursing Associates (Apprenticeships and Direct Entry) and Degree Nursing Apprenticeships. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience, and a sound knowledge of the concepts is essential.

We are now recruiting a Senior Lecturer to join our Nursing Associate team at our Chelmsford campus, to support our growing Nursing Associate course. This post will include teaching and support of both apprentices and full-time students, as well as contributing to the teaching for a range of other health care professionals.

You must hold a current Nursing and Midwifery registration and can be from any branch of nursing. You must have extensive experience of working in the UK nursing setting and understand the role of the Nursing Associate. Ideally you will have a good knowledge of the apprenticeship standards and Nursing Associate curriculum.

You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. You must have the ability to think innovatively and be able to meet deadlines, sometimes under pressure. You will be expected to contribute to curriculum development and work co-operatively and as part of a team. You must be have an enthusiastic and flexible approach with good interpersonal and negotiating skills and demonstrate commitment to our values with a willingness to contribute to the collective life of the Faculty.
