We are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to the role of Professor of Nursing Older People. You will have a sustained track record of delivering world leading research – creating and delivering programmes of research, securing significant external research funding, publishing high quality output, supervising postgraduate students to completion, growing research capacity, generating significant impact, and contributing to relevant policy development and national debate. Professors in the School are expected to provide academic leadership in relation to our educational offerings across undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development contexts. The post holder will also be expected to translate their research into enterprise contexts as appropriate.

You should have a strong professional background in Nursing. A new Ageing and Dementia Hub is shortly to be opened at the University and this role offers exceptional opportunities for leadership and growth in this area. This includes programmes of work in the areas of living well with dementia, ageing well in places (neighborhood and community living), ageing together (the care home sector) and technology for independent ageing.
