The School of Allied Health and Community is seeking an outstanding colleague to join the Senior Leadership Team, acting as Deputy Head of School for a three-year term in the first instance, subject to review. The successful candidate will be appointed as a Principal Lecturer on a permanent basis, and will report directly to the Head of School. The Deputy Head of School will provide senior leadership in the School, delivering on strategic and operational plans and taking an active role in the management of resources. The role will support priorities across the School including strategies in relation to recruitment and retention, learning and teaching, student experience and the thematic alignment of the School.

The successful candidate will be a proven leader, with the ability to motivate and influence their colleagues to achieve tangible positive outcomes, as well as demonstrate an excellent awareness of the Higher Education environment. The post holder will have an established record of excellence in learning and teaching, with demonstrable experience of innovation in curriculum design and development.
