There is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Leicester’s School of Allied Health Professions as a Lecturer in Midwifery, delivering the UK’s first 4-year undergraduate Master in Science with Leadership programme. In this role you will undertake teaching, scholarship and administrative duties in line with the School of Allied Health Professions teaching and research strategies.

To be successful in this role you will be a Nursing and Midwifery Council Registered Midwife with teaching experience in midwifery education. You will have a degree in Midwifery or a related subject and a relevant masters degree (or near completion). You will also have experience of the management and delivery of midwifery education programmes and experience in midwifery practice, for example the newborn and infant physical examination and perinatal mental health.

As an experienced practitioner and educator you will have the ability to facilitate student learning using a comprehensive range of delivery methods including lectures, seminars and tutoring. You will be confident in reviewing, evaluating and developing the key skills of students, being able to develop resource materials to enhance teaching quality.
