The University of Dundee is seeking to appoint an External Examiner in the Adult field for our Pre-registration Nursing Programme – Adult. The successful applicant may also have the opportunity to undertake some post-registration and/or postgraduate external examining related to their expertise, and by negotiation. You would also be asked to review work by students on the relevant return-to-practice programme. Please note that there may be a change in modules from 2020 due to a new programme currently being developed.
The University requires that External Examiners have qualifications at least equivalent to the Programme being examined, so the successful applicants will possess a Masters Degree. A recordable teaching qualification is also essential for this post.
Please be aware that the NMC requires external examiners for Nursing and Midwifery programmes to possess current registration on the appropriate part of the NMC Register.
All appointments will be from 01 September 2019 and will be initially for a three year period.
