The School of Health and Social Work is looking for an external examiner for its Nursing Associate Programme. The modules form part of the Foundation Degree FdSc in Health Care Practice, and the programme is open to apprentices as well as direct entry students. Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced academic staff, who hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and wish to be part of our friendly, supportive, and enthusiastic team developing an additional route into a nursing career pathway.

Previous experience of acting in the role of external examiner is desirable but not essential as support will be available for those who have not undertaken the role before. The tenure of appointment is for four years. All external examiner appointments are subject to approval by the Director of the Centre of Academic Quality Assurance at the University.

The successful candidate will have access to an on-line induction to familiarise themselves with the role and will have the opportunity to meet the teaching team. If you are interested in applying for this role, please send an expression of interest and detailed Curriculum Vitae outlining your employment history, qualifications, teaching experience and research/scholarly activities, registration number and any previous external examining activity (if applicable) to Ceri Baker. You are most welcome to contact Ceri as above for an informal discussion or further details.
