The School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences (Newcastle University) is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Speech and Language Sciences. The successful applicant will be part of a diverse and collegiate team of academics, clinicians, researchers and professional support staff delivering high quality teaching and research. You will have a strong background in an area of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) or eating and drinking needs.
You will make a significant contribution to teaching, personal tutoring and supervision within SLS across both undergraduate and postgraduate pre-registration speech and language therapy Health and Care Professions Council approved programmes.
You will carry out high quality research in your area of expertise, contributing to the understanding of, assessment and/or intervention for clients with SLCN or eating or drinking needs in adults or children. You will be an integral part of our research community, contributing to our research culture and excellence in SLS and the School and being part of relevant research centres and institutes across campus. You will, where appropriate, make a contribution to academic administration within the School.
