To contribute to teaching, scholarship, professional practice, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery in the School of Health and Life Sciences.
The standard TSPP academic role at the University includes a combination of teaching, scholarly activity, professional practice, knowledge exchange, business engagement and associated administration activities. While all roles will combine these areas of work, the relative weight of each will vary between and over time for each individual role holder.
The role holder will need:
- First Degree in relevant discipline / equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience in a related discipline.
- Masters degree in relevant discipline/equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience in a related discipline
- Membership of a relevant professional body / Registered professional in the discipline / equivalent level of professional practice
- Practising Nurse registered on Part 1 of the NMC Register
- Professional and contemporary knowledge in subject area
- Significant practical work in associated professional field
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Appreciation of all aspects of relevant governance requirements
