ABOUT THE ROLE
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will assist the Head of Department to maintain, enhance and improve the Department and Faculties national and international reputation in Midwifery. Demonstrating your continued academic attainment and achievement, you will contribute to your discipline and the life and work of the faculty. You will be responsible for contributing to an exceptional student experience through the delivery of teaching, in both pre and postgraduate education, research, knowledge exchange and business and enterprise engagement activity.

The Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health is one of five departments within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. We are a thriving community of academics and professional support staff who are committed to empowering each other and students to be the best they can be, and ultimately improve the lives of people within our local, national, and international reach. We provide high quality, research-rich education using a variety of innovative teaching and learning methods including a state-of-the-art clinical skills centre. The post holder will work flexibly within the team to contribute to teaching, learning, assessment, and research. They will participate in supervision, planning, designing and development of undergraduate and postgraduate health programmes. They will provide expertise to further enhance research and entrepreneurial activities. This will include undertaking individual and collaborative research that demonstrates impact and involvement in external activities which will include academic enterprise.

You must possess excellent knowledge of the subject area and have active registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council as a Midwife (NMC).
