Job Details for Clinical PhD Fellowship, addressing the topic of ‘Values and value-based healthcare: what do these mean in advanced illness?’
This is a part-time funded clinical PhD Fellowship for a senior nurse with UK clinical and leadership experience relevant for the PhD topic. The PhD will explore values and value-based healthcare in the context of advanced illness and ask whether a value-based framework can be developed to improve care and inform interventions in advanced illness.
This PhD opportunity adopts a systems-wide perspective, and applicants will need senior clinical and leadership experience in the UK health system, and particular in relation to provision of palliative care. Applicants will also need to have current professional registration with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council.
The duration of contract will be four years, part time (60% WTE). The Fellowship will be based within Wolfson Palliative Care Research Centre, Faculty of Health Sciences, Hull York Medical School, University of Hull. This PhD Fellowship opportunity is funded by THIS Institute (The Healthcare Studies Improvement Institute).
