We are currently seeking a Technician (Simulation and Immersive Technology) to join our health department.

This role will allow you to support the delivery of contemporary and innovative clinical skills and simulation-based education for health professional students, undertaking a range of programmes across the Department of Health (including Nursing and Physiotherapy).

The successful applicant will work in our purpose-built facilities in Moss House and the Health, Skills and Simulation Suite, but will also provide technical support as required across the campus. These include our 6 bed hospital ward, immersive technology room, virtual reality headsets and a range of future developments. A tour is available at – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id5xwZI5VEA

You will be working within a busy department, and maintaining a safe learning environment is a key responsibility of this post. You will be required to support the course team in the effective use and management of the training areas; equipment management and managing the appropriate preparation and support for the delivery of clinical skills; simulation teaching sessions; and assessment of students.

Training will be provided on the specialist equipment and audio-visual equipment, so this role is suitable for anyone with a passion for supporting healthcare students on their journey towards being the workforce of the future.

This role is suited to an individual that is looking to support the embedding of innovative simulation workstreams into health education. Building upon your existing technical and/or IT skills, within a person-centred work environment.
