The Role
The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings. We are looking to recruit a Teaching Fellow (Simulation) within the School’s expanding healthcare simulation portfolio. You will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of simulation support, teaching, learning and assessment. You will contribute to simulation quality monitoring and enhancement, working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will work closely with academic colleagues to enrich the simulation learning and teaching experience to ensure effective quality assurance and sustainability of simulation within the School. Duties will include supporting both face-to-face and digital simulation on a wide range of modules and courses, supporting academics in developing their simulation provision.
Qualifications Required
- Master’s degree in education, simulation or similar.
- Registered with the HCPC or NMC.
- A teaching qualification or experience of delivering professional and/or university education.
Our Successful Candidate
The candidate should have some experience in teaching and learning either within a HEI or within the clinical setting along with a good understanding of the role of the simulation in healthcare and the passion to teach and share their knowledge.
You will have demonstrable experience of teaching at higher education or clinical setting, with high standards of simulation teaching, learning and student engagement consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider.
Simulation, digital innovation and collaboration are fundamental to our success, therefore the ability to work both independently and part of a wider team with the willingness to engage in flexible ways of working are key skills required for this role.
