The Role
As a Teaching Fellow in Adult Nursing you will undertake teaching and module co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience.
Duties include:
- Teaching on modules and courses at HE levels 4- 7 including curation, adaptation and creation of module teaching materials
- Assessment, marking; including coordination of marking teams for large modules, submission and upload of student marks within stipulated turn round periods and presentation at appropriate meetings and committees as required
- Participating in course recruitment activities: Promote the Adult Nursing programme to potential applicants through various platforms
Qualifications Required
- NMC Registration in Adult Nursing (Current and Active) is essential for this role.
- An Honours Degree in an appropriate/ relevant subject area with professional qualification.
- A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one if not already held
- A PhD, or a Master’s Degree would be advantageous.
- Our Successful Candidate
You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching across HE levels 4-7 in Adult Nursing within clinical practice or within higher education, with a passion for sharing knowledge and supporting students in their learning journey.
They will demonstrate high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement and flare for teaching innovation consistent with our reputation.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience supporting, enhancing, and engaging in an ‘active learning’ pedagogy with evidence in proactively supporting student success.
As a global education provider, experience and awareness of learner’s cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
