York St John is an ambitious, modern university at the heart of historic York and there has never been a more exciting time to join us.
As one of the fastest growing universities in the U.K over recent years, we have a new strategy for the next decade, emphasising our commitment to widening opportunity through the power of education and contributing our talents to creating a fairer world, and a more prosperous region. We are putting inspirational learning and impactful research at the heart of this strategy, recognising our academic expertise as our greatest asset.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the School of Science, Technology & Health to work with our partners and stakeholders to introduce Speech and Language Therapy into the York St John curriculum.
The successful candidate will initially be tasked with developing a contemporary pre-registration Speech & Language Therapy Masters programme for delivery from 2022. This initial development post is offered over 12 months with the potential for further opportunities beyond this time frame. Flexible working solutions will be considered.
Successful candidates should have recent clinical experience, hold current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council, be a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and hold a Masters level qualification as a minimum.
An understanding of Higher Education processes is essential to the role, whilst experience of programme development or academic leadership would be a distinct advantage.
