We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse active on the NMC register to join the Mental Health Nursing Team in the Department of Nursing, Midwifery and Health at the University of Southampton. The team is experienced, friendly, and supportive and is enthusiastic and committed to developing the Mental Health Nurses of the future.

You will be involved in the delivery of our nationally recognised pre-registration BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing, Masters of Nursing leading to registration as a Mental Health/Adult Nurse or Children’s/Mental Health Nurse, and MSc/PgDip Mental Health Nursing programmes. You will have an exceptional understanding of issues facing contemporary clinical practice in Mental Health Nursing. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for outstanding nurse education and has a dynamic vision for how education and research can transform mental health care across the lifespan.

Ideally, you will have educational experience and have completed a Masters level qualification. However, we are also keen to hear from Mental Health Nurses who have a passion for teaching students and would like to develop a career in education. We are also keen to hear from Registered Mental Health Nurses who have interest and/or experience in research. Mental Health Nurses with experience working with children, young people and their families, as well as those with extensive knowledge of working with older people, would complement our current team.
