The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including; nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, clinical psychology and public health. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including Advanced Clinical Practice, Independent prescribing and Global Healthcare Management.

The Role

We are looking to recruit a Senior Teaching Fellow in Physiotherapy to lead the development of neurological physiotherapy modules within the physiotherapy portfolio. You will be responsible for leading the delivery of teaching, learning and assessment. You will contribute to the course quality monitoring and enhancement and work with range of external partners and stakeholders.

You will undertake teaching and module leadership while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programs with innovative teaching and learning approaches to enhance student experience. You will contribute to curriculum development by actively participating in School’s Curriculum Review and Transformation.

Senior Teaching Fellows lead on aspects of the student learning experience including the leadership of staff teams

Qualifications Required

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate subject and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
  • Registered Physiotherapist with the HCPC
  • A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education

Our Successful Candidate

You will need to be a HCPC registered physiotherapist with demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education and/or substantial clinical experience and expertise particularly in neurological physiotherapy practice.
You will be an experienced team leader who is enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with high-quality presentation skills, ability to mentor and coach other members of the team.
