The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including; nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, clinical psychology and public health. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses including Advanced Clinical Practice, Independent prescribing and Global Healthcare Management.

The Role

We are looking to recruit a Senior Teaching Fellow in Physiotherapy to lead the development of integrated health and care curriculum within the physiotherapy portfolio. You will work alongside the wider health and care course teams to support the development and delivery of teaching, learning and assessment within the direct entry and apprenticeship physiotherapy course and contribute to the quality monitoring and enhancement.

The postholder will undertake teaching and module leadership while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programs with innovative teaching and learning approaches to enhance student experience. You will contribute to curriculum development by actively participating in School’s Curriculum Review and Transformation. Senior Teaching Fellows lead on aspects of the learner experience including the leadership of staff teams.

Qualifications Required

  • Master’s degree in appropriate subject and appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
  • Registered Physiotherapist with the HCPC
  • Teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education
  • PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body is advantageous.

Our Successful Candidate

You will be a HCPC registered physiotherapist with experience of successful teaching at higher education and/or substantial clinical experience and expertise in one or more areas of physiotherapy practice with an ability to contribute to teaching across the curriculum.

You will be an experienced team leader who is enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with high-quality presentation skills, ability to mentor and coach other members of the team.

You will demonstrate good level of digital fluency with experience creating teaching materials for face to face and online teaching.
