The Role
As Senior Teaching Fellow in Nursing Education you’ll undertake teaching and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience. You will lead on aspects of the student learning experience including leadership of staff teams.
Duties include:
• Lead the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials including Curriculum development.
• Work with and lead other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience
• Module Leadership
• Course Directorship
• Leading moderation and quality assurance of appropriate module assessment
• To uphold high standards of academic integrity in all aspects of learning and teaching
Qualifications Required
• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
• Master’s degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honours Degree and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
• A teaching qualification or extensive experience of delivering professional and/or university education
• PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous
Our Successful Candidate
Previous experience of teaching within a Higher Education Institution is highly desirable and your application should detail your areas of clinical/teaching experience and expertise.
You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Adult Nursing Education with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
You will have experience using creating teaching materials for face to face and online teaching using a VLE.
Innovation and collaboration are key to our success, therefore the ability to generate and follow through innovative ideas, work both independently and part of a wider team with the willingness to engage in flexible ways of working are key skills required for this role.
