As Senior Teaching Fellow in Adult Nursing Education you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination, supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience.
Based within the School of Health and Wellbeing you will work with and lead other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience to ensure, as appropriate, relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.
Duties include:
• Lead the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials including Curriculum development.
• Teach on modules and courses at Higher Education levels 4-7 in relevant subject areas, delivering a variety of learning sessions and supporting students as appropriate through informal and formal communication throughout teaching semesters.
• Lead teams of teaching staff including the oversight of module teaching teams, you will uphold high standards of academic integrity in all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Lead on moderation and quality assurance of appropriate module assessment
• Preparation and dissemination of both generic and specific formative and summative student feedback. Review assessment and feedback processes and student communication loops on modules.
• Ensure that students have an effective learning experience by providing high quality academic guidance and advice
Qualification
• Master’s degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honors Degree and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
• A teaching qualification or experience of delivering professional and/or university education
• PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous
• Current NMC registration and a Masters degree are essential to this role.

Working in the School of Health and Wellbeing, you will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Nursing Subjects with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
Knowledge and experience within critical care is advantageous.
An experienced team leader with good level of digital fluency, you will have experience using creating teaching materials for face to face and online teaching using a VLE.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of an ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate to the academic subject area.
