This is an opportunity for an experienced researcher to join the Emergency Care Theme in the Centre for Health and Clinical Research at UWE Bristol. Emergency Care at UWE Bristol has a rapidly growing national and international reputation for high-quality research. We have recently launched REACH (the Research in Emergency care, Avon Collaborative Hub). This initiative aligns researchers from the two Universities in Bristol to create a formal collaboration with direct links to other relevant networks including NHS commissioners, health and care providers, the Applied Research Collaboration West and the West of England Academic Health Sciences Network in close collaboration with patient and public groups.

The post holder will support the delivery of the AIRWAYS-3 Trial: The clinical and cost effectiveness of a supraglottic airway device versus tracheal intubation during in-hospital cardiac arrest. This is a full time (100% FTE), three year fixed-term post.

This will involve day-to-day coordination/ administration, database management (including the Central Portfolio Management System) and contact with researchers and clinicians in line with ethics guidelines and appropriate protocols. The post holder will be expected to work on their own initiative, seeking guidance and advice where necessary from the Chief Investigator and the Trial Management Group. Applicants must be well organised, possess strong communication skills and have the ability to lead and to work effectively as part of a team. Some national travel will be required.
