Wrexham Glyndwr University (WGU) is delighted to be in a position to advertise for several Nursing and Allied Health Professions (AHP) Lecturer and Senior Lecturer posts in the Faculty of Social and Life Sciences’ Nursing and Allied Health department.
These posts have arisen following a commissioning process conducted by Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW). HEIW have taken the opportunity in partnership with stakeholders, to change the “shape” of education provision in Wales to best meet the needs of all Health Boards and Trusts and develop a cutting edge innovative contract to put Wales at the forefront of Health Professional education.
As a result of this WGU have been awarded provision of certain AHPs that have not been delivered in North Wales before as well as an expanded delivery of Nursing. The portfolio area also includes our British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT) accredited Sports Injury Rehabilitation programme. These programmes offer exciting opportunities to lead a new programme development and then delivery of HEIW commissioned programmes. Additional team members will be recruited in time for teaching to commence.
The new provision will include lecturer and senior lecturer posts in the professional areas listed below. Applicants must have current Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)/Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration and membership of the relevant professional body. Additionally, experience in relevant clinical areas and experience of facilitating learning and developing new initiatives will be necessary.
