An exciting opportunity has arisen for one full time position as either a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer (dependent upon experience) in Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) in the School of Allied Health Professions (AHP), to teach across the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum. The School offers high quality AHP undergraduate and postgraduate provision and is part of a wider research community via the Faculty Research Institutes. The successful applicant will follow a research or scholarship pathway, subject to further discussion.

The School is proud of the BSc (Hons) Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging) programme which has been consistently recognised by employers and our graduating students for high quality, coming 2nd in the UK for the National Student Survey in both 2020 and 2021. Enjoying excellent facilities, you will get to teach students in a bespoke Diagnostic Imaging Suite with state-of-the-art simulation facilities and a bespoke digital health hub for image interpretation. Students also have inter-professional educational opportunities with other Faculty of Medicine and Health Science students. The Radiography programme has had a number of exciting changes recently with a newly revalidated radiography programme and the forthcoming addition of an apprentice route (radiography and assistant practitioner routes). Additionally, Keele Radiography will be working with University Hospital North Midlands Radiology department to establish an Imaging Academy Hub in the Midlands region. These opportunities offer exciting prospects to individuals wishing to further their scholarship and research activities as well as widen their teaching and learning skills.

You will play a part in the development of educational initiatives aligned with the School strategic direction, and will pursue research/ scholarly activities in line with the School focus. You will ideally be a UK HCPC registered Radiographer with extensive teaching and research or scholarship experience within Higher Education (those with Medical Imaging or Medical Physics degrees will be considered with extensive research and radiographic science experience). A Senior Lecturer applicant will bring additional experience of leadership within education programmes, academic mentorship of colleagues and experience of providing strategic vision leadership in the development of educational programmes and enterprise.
