Due to increasing student numbers an exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Community Nursing at London South Bank University.  Successful candidates will join an excellent, dynamic, and hardworking specialist community team to provide high quality education.

About You:

Successful candidates will hold an Advanced Assessment and Consultation Skills qualification and ideally have at least 2 years clinical experience undertaking autonomous patient consultations including history taking and physical assessments in the primary, community and urgent care setting. A V300 prescribing qualification along with teaching experience is also desirable. This is a Grade 7/ 8 vacancy and secondments will be considered.

Ideally applicants will have a track record in specialist community nursing and higher education as well as delivering on curriculum development, however we are prepared to support the right candidate to achieve this whilst working at LSBU.

The successful candidate will support the community nursing team in the delivery of clinical assessment and history taking for district nursing students, as well as contributing to teaching and learning across other elements of the district nursing and specialist community public health nursing programmes. We are therefore seeking to recruit an experienced nurse and educator to take up this post who will join a team committed to enhancing the healthcare workforce in partnership with providers across London, Essex and the South East with the aim of transforming community nursing services for the benefit of patients and their families.
