About the role

Reporting to the Head of School for Rehabilitation, Sport and Psychology, the successful candidate will provide leadership in the delivery of clinical education to occupational therapy students and other health professions students within the School’s portfolio of courses. Duties will include leading the pedagogic development, quality assurance, and implementation of occupational therapy education within the University College. As well as providing leadership in the development and organisation of student placements with external stakeholders and internal service providers. The University College Academic Framework will be under review this year, so there may be further opportunities for a more senior post of up to £65,469 p.a. for a suitable candidate and subject to appropriate consultations.

About the person

We seek an enthusiastic and highly motivated UK registered occupational therapist with experience of working in higher education to join our team. The post holder will have excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and work in an evidence informed manner with relevant clinical experience, with the ability to also undertake course leadership for the new MSc Occupational Therapy (pre-registration) course.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to high quality research as part of a group of staff, developing their research skills and co-authoring peer reviewed publications. They must maintain their own development as a regulated healthcare professional and educator and contribute to the enhancement of pre-registration, post-registration and CPD courses within the School’s portfolio.
