The University of Derby is seeking approval for the 3-year Undergraduate BSc (Hons) Midwifery Programme with an intended start in September 2021, and the 2 Year MSc Midwifery Programme with the intended start March 22.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Midwifery Educator to contribute to the delivery of this programme. The successful candidate will be dynamic, adaptable, and innovative and have excellent communication skills.

It is essential that the postholder is focused on providing an excellent student experience and understand the importance of supporting students in the workplace. The postholder will have a strong clinical and/or educational background, be innovative and creative and innovative in their roles and will contribute to enhancing the quality of midwifery education. They will develop and deliver an innovative and flexible range of learning and teaching materials in a relevant subject area or across modules that provide high quality, accessible learning opportunities and an exceptional student experience in line with the University’s strategic objectives, ensuring that employability and ‘real-world’ learning are at the heart of the curriculum. Engage in research which influences leading edge practice, informs and inspires the research-led curriculum and teaching and contributes to continuing subject expertise and contribution to the REF.
