We offer pre-registration degrees in: Nursing, Midwifery, Radiography, Optometry, and Speech and Language therapy, while our suite of master’s programmes includes advanced courses in Nursing; Midwifery; Radiography; Optometry; Speech, Language and Communication; Health Management, Policy and research, Food Policy and Psychology.

Responsibilities
The appointed academic will contribute to high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate nurse education, including course delivery and development, links with practice placements, management, and student support.

Person Specification
In addition to appointment as a Senior Lecturer, the successful candidate will also assume the leadership role of Deputy Head of Nursing, supporting the Head of Nursing and providing strategic and operational direct management of the Mental Health Nursing Team (approximately 13 staff). The Deputy Head of Nursing appointment will be for three years initially, with annual reviews, and offers an exceptional opportunity for academic career development

The successful candidate will hold registration with the National Midwifery Council and will be able to provide high-quality education to our undergraduate and postgraduate students; demonstrating an ability to be innovative and flexible to meet the changing needs of the workforce. In addition, they will have experience of effective staff management or demonstrate the ability to do so.
