The University of Lincoln is expanding its pre-registration portfolio by starting a BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography programme in September 2024. We are delighted to now offer the opportunity to apply for the role of Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader.
The 3 year programme is currently undergoing internal and external validation, and recruitment activity has already commenced at our first open day in July. We have worked very closely with the local acute trusts to write a programme which fulfils their local workforce needs as well as drive the profession forward through the addition of new skills required by the College of Radiographers. With new community diagnostic centres being built in the region, students will spend 2 days a week on placement throughout the 3 years to ensure the links of theory and practice are strongly embedded.
Allied Health Professions education has been delivered at the University of Lincoln since 2018 and you would be working alongside 4 other AHP professions: Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Paramedic Science and Physiotherapy.
You would be joining the School of Health and Social Care in the College of Health and Science. The School has established an enviable regional, national and international reputation for its teaching, its research and its broad educational opportunities. We offer a range of undergraduate and post-graduate pre-registration degrees and post registration MSc programmes. We have an income of over £11m, 120 academic staff, and over 1800 students registered across all the School’s programmes. Teaching is predominantly delivered in the purpose built Sarah Swift Building which opened in 2017. Additional refurbishment in 2021 developed a VR suite where the Diagnostic Radiography students will have the opportunity to use high fidelity simulation alongside Virtual Medical Coaching software to develop their practical skills.
