We are seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic individual with advanced clinical practitioner experience as either a nurse, midwife or allied health professional (NMAHP), who would value the opportunity to be involved in the education of the next generation of advanced clinical practitioners.

Based in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, we have a campus in Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands, and in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. We provide accessible, evidence informed education for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals including undergraduate and postgraduate students and are committed to supporting our students to make a significant contribution to the care of patients and the public.

The Department of Nursing and Midwifery is part of the university’s School of Health, Social Care and Life Sciences that brings together all health researchers and related teaching at UHI. This role will focus on providing high quality and innovative teaching to those undertaking the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice. Applicants should have relevant experience of teaching and learning in Advanced Clinical Practice, including all four-pillar activity (HEE 2017). Experience of delivering academic education and a recognised teaching qualification is essential. Applicants will be supported to maintain an active academic portfolio with either a research or pedagogical focus that produces high quality outputs.
