The Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine & Social Care is the largest faculty in the university. Our Faculty constantly pursues innovative approaches to develop and deliver curricula to meet the ever changing educational needs of the Health and Social Care workforce. We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including doctoral level studies. Our provision at Cambridge includes BSc Mental Health Nursing, BSc Child and Mental Health Nursing & BSc Adult and Mental Health Nursing. More recently we have expanded our portfolio to encompass Higher Apprentice Assistant Practitioners and Degree Apprenticeships. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience, and a sound knowledge of the concepts is essential. This post will include planning, developing and teaching Post NMC Registration General Practice Nursing students and other health related courses. We have internationally excellent research in social work and social policy, and have a number of world-leading nursing and healthcare researchers in our Faculty.

We’re recruiting for Senior Lecturer in Advanced Practice at our Chelmsford campus. These posts will include teaching and support of students undertaking post registration education in advanced practice including Non-Medical Prescribing and contributing to the teaching for a range of other pre- and post-graduate courses. You will also be expected to contribute to the supervision of research students.

With a degree or relevant professional qualification and extensive post qualification CPD (and/or Higher Degree for GR6). You must hold a current registration with the NMC, HCPC, GPhC or other professional registration. V300 Non medical prescribing qualification.

You will have extensive experience of working in your area of expertise and must hold an Independent/Supplementary Prescribing Qualification. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. You must have the ability to think innovatively and be able to meet deadlines, sometimes under pressure. You will be expected to contribute to curriculum development and work co-operatively and as part of a team.
