The Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine & Social Care is the largest faculty in the university and constantly pursues innovative approaches to develop and deliver curricula to meet the ever-changing educational needs of the Health and Social Care workforce. Our faculty offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, from foundation degrees to doctoral study. Our provision in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Chelmsford includes pre and post-registration, apprenticeship and nursing associate courses. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students are well supported and receive a high quality, evidence-informed, educational experience. We have a number of world-leading nursing and healthcare researchers in our Faculty, and are seeking to further develop and support research, innovation and knowledge exchange across the School.

We’re recruiting for a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing at our Chelmsford campus. This post will include planning and managing learning and teaching for both pre and post-registration, apprenticeship and nursing associate courses, facilitating online and face to face teaching (including simulated clinical skills), acting as an academic assessor for NMC approved courses, link activity to support practice-based learning, as well as contributing to the research, innovation, and knowledge exchange activities of the School and wider Faculty.

With a PhD or Professional Doctorate, you will hold a current registration with the UK NMC as an adult nurse. With an enthusiastic and flexible approach and good interpersonal and negotiating skills, you’ll have extensive experience of contemporary clinical practice and/or clinical education, excellent written and oral communication skills, be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to think innovatively and be able to meet deadlines. You’ll contribute to curriculum development and work co-operatively and as part of a team.
