About the role

The Centre for Workforce and Systems Innovation at AECC University College is looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in First Contact Practice/ Advanced Clinical Practice for our exciting post-registration courses which include First Contact Practice, Advanced Clinical Practice, and a range of standalone units focused on workforce development for the healthcare sector. We are a small, but specialist team of healthcare professionals and educators who work with employers on recruitment and retention of their workforce, enabling growth and transformation, through education and innovation.

The Centre for Workforce and Systems Innovation launched in August 2024 and seeks to address workforce challenges through innovative approaches, evidence-based policies, and effective implementation strategies, ultimately improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes working in meaningful partnership with our stakeholders. We are focused in focused in supporting employers in the recruitment and retention of their workforce, enabling growth and transformation, through education and innovation.

These collaborations align education and research efforts with real-world needs, foster knowledge exchange, and facilitate the translation of research findings into tangible impact for the benefit of the healthcare workforce.

About the person

We seek an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Registered Healthcare professional with a passion for post-registration education and workforce development. You will have experience of working in higher education in the healthcare sector, have an ability to foster student learning and development, excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

You will be flexible and adaptable in your approach as will be working across a variety of units including ACP, FCP and standalone units, supported by our multi-professional team. You may be working in a clinical role but have a desire to combine this with a role in academia.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum & Nationality Act 2006.
