This is an exciting time in radiography education at Birmingham City University. We are at the forefront of radiography education and are dedicated to providing our students with the very best learning, teaching and support to help them develop both professionally and personally as radiographers, as well as supporting other professionals in their awareness of imaging and radiography. Due to development of our provision, we offer you this great opportunity to join our fantastic team.

This is a permanent, part time post at 18 hours per week.

In working with us you will take an active role in the delivery of, and take responsibility for, learning and teaching within our postgraduate and undergraduate courses and for other professionals requiring our radiographer and cross sectional imaging expertise, as well as in the assessment of students. We want our students to enjoy their learning and their time with us – you will be part of the team that makes that happen.

This role includes the opportunity to support the student learning of within our PACs suite, as well as through classroom (face-to-face and virtual) based teaching, and to help them develop into excellent radiographers and advanced practitioners, and to further develop the knowledge base and skill set for the non-radiographer professionals we educate.

You will:

  • Have recent clinical experience in CT and / or MRI imaging,
  • Hold relevant qualification(s),
  • Have experience of teaching and supporting learners in a clinical and/or university setting,
  • Have excellent communication skills,
  • Be passionate about radiography education.

University skills equipment includes our recently upgraded Carestream PACs suite, as well as our X-Ray room and wider radiography and ultrasound focused skills facilities.
