Salary Range:

Fixed Term – 1 year

The expanding School of Allied Health Professions (SAHP) is pleased to share an exciting one-year opportunity for one full time (or two part-time) positions (or a secondment) to support the management of AHP placements and join our dedicated Physiotherapy, Radiography, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Rehabilitation and Exercise Science placements team.

The School offers high quality undergraduate and postgraduate provision and is part of a wider research and scholarly community across the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. We teach several programmes where placements are integral to successful completion. These include two cohorts of pre-registration Masters Physiotherapy programmes, via either a 4 year MSci or a 2 year accelerated MSc route, a BSc Radiography (Diagnostic Imaging), BSc Rehabilitation and Exercise Science, both established and growing programmes within the School, as well as the new MSc Prosthetics and Orthotics programme.

You would be joining the growing School of Allied Health Professions, with over 45 academic staff; enthusiastic educators and researchers. You will be an HCPC registered Allied Health Professional with an appreciation of the principles of teaching and learning in higher education and will have had recent experience of supervising AHP students on placement and be passionate about supporting and enhancing both the students and Practice Educators experience of AHP placements. Effective communication skills and building relationships with stakeholders are key to this role.

This is an exciting and diverse post which will require oversight and management of the placement aspects of our AHP courses, supporting our dedicated Placements Team with delivering and planning of placement modules, being creative and innovative with growing placement capacity across the portfolio and be a key role in the quality assurance processes relating to placement activity. This is a strategic role but also requires supporting the Placements team operationally as required, and the wider School, Faculty and management teams.

Applications for job share/part-time contracts are welcome. Secondments will also be considered, but will require authorisation from your line manager. It is therefore advisable that you discuss your application with your manager before submitting it.
