The School of Nursing and Midwifery is the largest academic school within the University. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Enhancement Lead to join the school senior team. This role will suit an individual with a passion for quality assurance who is looking for a developmental opportunity to work across the school supporting staff with quality, academic and PRSB regulation

Manage and coordinate programme approvals / reapprovals (NMC and non-NMC).

  • Maintain academic governance for the school and in line with academic regulations.
  • Key member of committees e.g. Modifications meetings, SLTACQ, FLTAQC, CME meetings, Periodic Review steering group.
  • Support staff development provision.
  • Rollout and support the on-going processes for course monitoring and enhancement and period review for the provision in the school.
  • Support and contribute to the development of the strategy and vision of the school.
  • Design processes to operationalise strategic directives.
  • Work collaboratively with senior managers and course teams to assure, monitor and enhance the education provision for the school of nursing and midwifery.
  • Liaise with external stakeholder and regulatory bodies as necessary to maintain standards and quality.
  • Working with the Associate Dean to achieve a positive student experience and quality assurance strategy.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge and experience of education systems and processes, including governance policy and process, academic regulations, quality assurance and enhancement strategies and standards.
  • Contribute to decision making that supports the improvement of the student experience and assures quality.
  • Excellent understanding of QAA, NMC, Ofsted and University academic regulations and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • NMC registration is essential.

Fellow status and ready to upgrade to Principal Fellow status under the Higher Education Academy’s Professional Standards Framework.
