We are actively seeking to hire a Professor in Physiotherapy, to join our programme team. If you are passionate about the development of the physiotherapy profession and preparing future physiotherapists, this is the job for you! As a member of the Allied Health & Social Care Sciences Subject Group, you will be joining a vibrant academic team who work with other colleagues across the school as part of a supportive, collaborative interprofessional community for both education and research.

The Role

We are seeking applications from experienced and highly motivated candidates who have a strong track record in research and education in physiotherapy. As a Professor in this discipline area, you will also be an experienced physiotherapy academic as well as an active researcher, ready to lead the research and income generation in this area as part of broadening the scope of our grant applications for the School.

This role demands both strong academic leadership, clear vision, and proven ability to forge connections across academic, policy, practice and third sector communities to continually build the reputation of the Theme, School and University.

Essential requirements

  • Qualification in relevant discipline at least to postgraduate level.
  • Professional qualifications relevant to discipline.
  • Current registration with the relevant Professional Statutory Regulatory Body for the role.
  • Profile that demonstrates at least national standing and some international engagement.
  • Generation of external income.
  • Doctoral level qualification.
