The Academy of Nursing, launched in 2019, aims to prepare students for nurse leadership in practice, research and education to promote and sustain excellence in health and social care. Our aim is to create and develop a lifelong community of constantly curious and pioneering nurses at the forefront of regional, national and global innovation in care leadership, research and education.

We are prioritising research and scholarship that enhances the educational potential of the innovative MSci Nursing and other care-related programmes. To that end, we are seeking to appoint a Professor of Professional Education to develop and lead a programme of interprofessional, interdisciplinary and international pedagogic research and to develop Academy of Nursing educational provision.

This post is primarily to lead impactful evidence-based and values-based research and educational activities in the areas of professional education, including simulation. You will be an innovative researcher with a strong and current record of research funding and impactful international publications. You will be a leading international figure with the ability to develop collaborative funded research with world-class academics, developing the Academy of Nursing and working with the Head of Nursing, Leads for Research, Practice and Programmes, students and the Academy of Nursing Patient and Public Involvement Group.
