The College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (CHMLS) is one of three academic colleges in the University and is a leading provider of undergraduate and postgraduate education programmes as well as conducting world-leading research. The College comprises three departments: Health Sciences, Life Sciences and Brunel Medical School. In Health Sciences, academic endeavours take place in the Divisions of Global Public Health, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Social Work.

We are seeking to appoint a Professor in any relevant discipline who will have the responsibility as Head for driving the development of the Department of Health Sciences, its 100 academic staff and over 1,700 students through novel educational programmes and avenues of research in line with the University’s strategy and from synergies across other academic disciplines. Reporting to the Executive Dean of the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, and as a member of the College Management Board, the Head will play a key role in delivering the strategic objectives and overall future development of the Department, College and University.
