The Institute of Health is a vibrant, creative and pivotal Institute within the University of Cumbria. It provides a breadth of programs that support the workforce within health and social care from apprenticeships through to post graduate students. Furthermore it provides a wide range of CPD opportunities for practitioners from a diverse range of sport, health and social related backgrounds.

As the Principal Lecturer for Social Work and Working with Children and Families, reporting directly to one of the Heads of the Institute, you will develop and lead your subject group. This leadership and management role will include but not be limited to, enhancing the student experience, managing subject group resources, encouraging and supporting research and scholarly activity, working closely with colleagues across the institution on quality assurance and health and safety processes. In this role you will lead others in the design and development, staffing and delivery of a range of programmes of study at various levels.
