An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Institute of Health’s midwifery team. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced registered midwife to join us as Principal Lecturer in Midwifery and Lead Midwife for Education (the NMC statutory requirement for HEIs delivering midwifery programmes of education).

The midwifery team currently deliver undergraduate, postgraduate and apprenticeship post-registration programmes leading to NMC professional registration as a midwife from our Carlisle campus. Now is an exciting time to join the team as we are expanding our offer to include programme delivery from our Lancaster campus and also developing and designing a shortened midwifery programme to add to our successful portfolio. The Principal Lecturer in Midwifery will be instrumental in the leadership of midwifery education in the Institute of Health, ensuring that programme design and delivery is quality assured, contemporary, meets all required regulatory requirements and offers the students/apprentices an enhanced learning experience. You will be an expert in your field and will have proven experience of leading and developing midwifery educational programmes within a higher education setting.
