Part-time (0.5fte), fixed term for 12 months
£33,797 to £40,322 per annum, pro rata
We are seeking to appoint a motivated individual on a part-time (0.5fte) basis to work within the practice environment to provide support and guidance to all involved in the provision of practice education for dietetic students in the School of Health Sciences (HSC). A secondment will be considered, and applicants should please ensure that a secondment will be possible with their Line Manager/Head of Department, before submitting a formal application.
The post holder will have experience of working in a health or social care environment. The successful candidate will scope and secure dietetic placement opportunities and work in partnership with clinicians and other stakeholders to develop and enhance effective mechanisms for student support, teaching and assessment in practice.
In partnership with current providers, you will explore new ways of offering learning experiences in practice and contribute to the quality of the existing learning environment by ensuring all placement areas have a current educational audit. A further function will be to identify inter-professional learning opportunities in the practice environment
The successful applicant will need to have a relevant qualification in a healthcare profession as well as a current registration with the HCPC.
