The University of Central Lancashire is seeking an External Examiner for its well-established MA/PGD Integrative Psychotherapy programme. The course integrates person centred, psychodynamic and existential perspectives and works with a wide range of local placement providers. External Examiners play a crucial role in the maintenance of academic standards, ensuring assessment processes are conducted fairly and in accordance with our academic framework. Further information about the role can be found here: Academic Quality and Enhancement – UCLan

  • Working in a UK HEI with no formal educational links with UCLan in the last 5 years
  • Current registration with an appropriate regulatory body (e.g. BACP/ UCKP/HCP)
  • Relevant academic and/or professional qualifications to at least the level of the qualification being externally examined
  • Direct experience of teaching and assessing in the applicable subject area.

A new External Examiner is required for the 2022-23 academic year. Applications are invited from appropriately qualified individuals. Previous experience as an external examiner is desirable but not essential.
