The School of Health and Life Sciences (HLS) is a multidisciplinary School, with a diverse range of programmes delivered at our Ayr, Dumfries, Lanarkshire, London and Paisley campuses to a combined total of around 6000 students.

Within the School HLS an exciting opportunity has arisen for two Lecturers to join the Division of Midwifery & Specialist Nursing where teaching and research are at the heart of all the School’s activities. Our Division offers a wide range of professional programmes including postregistration community programmes, MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner, MSc Health Studies and pre-registration Midwifery.

The successful candidates will have a deverlopmental role within the Division. The ability to contribute to module and programme teaching and development will be integral to this post, along with engagement in wider academic activities such as research, consultancy and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.. In this developmental role, undertaking development and/ or scholarship activities and research to enhance teaching will be encouraged.

The successful candidates will join a progressive team of academics currently supporting delivery of our wide range of health-related modules and professional programmes within the Division of Midwifery & Specialist Nursing and the wider School. Professional registration with NMC or HCPC is required. The post will be based at Lanarkshire Campus, and report into the Midwifery & Specialist Nursing Division.
