Salary Range:

The Three Counties School of Nursing and Midwifery is looking to appoint a motivated registered nurse who is passionate about developing innovative practice learning opportunities for pre-registration students.

We encourage applications from practitioners who have acquired expertise in facilitating learning in clinical practice and wish to progress their career in a supportive academic environment, in addition to those more experienced academics who are enthusiastic to further their scholarly focus in practice learning.

The successful candidate will join an inspirational team in shaping our future practice learning agenda. This will include contributing to improving practice quality processes, developing and sustaining effective partnerships, exploring creative practice learning opportunities, and sharing your unique ideas to inform curriculum development. You will be supported in your academic development and have the opportunity to contribute to teaching and assessment across a range of practice focused modules.

Our placement areas are expanding to include creative and diverse pathways. If you want to make a real difference in shaping our next generation of nurses, please get in touch for an informal discussion.

The post holder will be committed to promoting academic enquiry, helping develop critical thinking in students by supporting safe, effective, and evidence-based practice. Participating in professional scholarship and re-validation will also be essential. The candidate should be able to draw upon his or her own subject knowledge to design teaching sessions that maximise the integration of theory to practice.

The post holder may be required to teach a range of core subjects and should have a flexible approach to the subject material they teach.
