The University of Worcester has a reputation for contemporary and innovative Nursing and Midwifery provision. Our NMC approved programmes are nationally recognised for their high quality, student satisfaction and sustained high employability of our alumni. In this context, the School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic or practitioner who will lead our practice facilitation engagement, supporting students, supervisors and assessors in practice. There will be a particular emphasis on supporting practice in the private, independent and voluntary sector which is a growing and valuable learning environment for students.
The appointee will join a highly professional and motivated team in supporting new and existing developments within Practice Learning. The role of the Practice Facilitator is fundamental in promoting quality of patient care, through the development and maintenance of an effective learning culture to support education of student nurses, supervisor and assessors in clinical practice.
You will be required to liaise with a range of stakeholders to develop and enhance links between education and practice, and to support the development of new and substantial student placement capacity for pre-registration nursing programmes. The appointee will be able to work independently but will also have good negotiating skills and embrace partnership working.
Participating in professional re-validation will also be essential.
