The successful candidate will support delivery of clinical skills teaching and practice placement support across the pre-registration Midwifery programmes.

The BSc (Hons) Midwifery course is a UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative accredited course, achieving 100% overall student satisfaction in the NSS 2020. This relates to all women, newborn infants and their families across the continuum from pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, labour and birth, postpartum and early weeks of newborn infants’ life (NMC 2019).

The Maternity Service User Group, supported by the Lead Midwife of Education (LME) play a key part in the student learning journey from taster days to assessment and evaluation promoting student empathy and understanding of the power of the women’s voice, which is a local driver.

The successful candidate will join a team of enthusiastic, committed, and friendly staff and will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Department, School and the wider University.
