The Division of Physiotherapy is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative early career researcher who wishes to develop an academic career within a friendly academic team who are passionate about providing the opportunities and support needed to establish your career at the forefront of health education and research. As a member of our dynamic team you will be mentored by experienced senior academics who have the expertise and knowledge you need to progress within your chosen specialism. We seek people who hold or are near completion of a PhD, and who can deliver high quality and impactful clinical teaching and research.
As a leading provider of both physiotherapy and multi-professional post-reg advanced clinical practice education and research, we are expanding our UK and international activity. This advert is for a Lecturer with specialist clinical and professional experience relevant to our Pre-reg Physiotherapy Programmes and / or our range of multi-professional Advanced Clinical Practice specialisms. You will teach and support a diverse cohort of home and International students. You will apply and develop your interpersonal, creative thinking, and leadership skills, learning from some of the best clinical academics in the country. You will be expected to contribute fully: developing and implementing ideas for teaching and research, evaluating academic development, and building professional relationships.
We invite applicants from physiotherapy or relevant subject areas aligned to our education and research provision. Applicants will have excellent personal leadership skills, with the ability to support colleagues and the wider academic community to achieve excellence in research and education. You will be a registered Physiotherapist with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) or a relevant professional equivalent.
As a research-intensive University with 84% of research graded as internationally excellent or world leading (REF21), Brunel has a strong track-record of securing research funding from EU and other international sources. Regardless of the long-term future for UK participation in Horizon Europe, Brunel will continue to ensure that staff have access to non-EU research funding, and we will continue to support our many bilateral collaborations within the EU and will remain an active member of YERUN. Your research profile should align to one of the College’s Research Centres.
You will be required to pass checks by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
We offer a generous annual leave package plus discretionary University closure days, excellent training and development opportunities as well as a great occupational pension scheme and a range of health-related support. The University is committed to a hybrid working approach.
