The Mental Health and Learning Disability Nursing Division at London South Bank University is seeking a vibrant, enthusiastic and passionate Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Practice Learning) to join our well-established and expanding team to develop new practice learning opportunities for pre-registration mental health and learning disability nursing students.

This full-time Lecturer role is based in London with hybrid working and offers a salary of £37,839-£44,462 and many fantastic benefits.

As a flexible Senior Lecturer, you will work collaboratively with the Academic and Placement Administration teams, and the Institute and School Leads for Practice Learning. Please note that the University is operating on a hybrid working model, which means a mix of working on-site and from home, and confirmation of days worked on campus will be arranged with the line manager.

To succeed in this Senior Lecturer role, you will need to be a creative thinker in exploring opportunities for practice learning for nursing students that will provide them with a range of experiences and opportunities to meet the NMC (2018) Future Nurse – Standards of Proficiency for Registered Nurses. You should also be student-focused in your approach and able to apply the latest professional body requirements for nurse education, including those related to the practice learning requirements. In addition, you must have a good understanding of sourcing and setting up placements and the processes involved in quality-assuring potential practice learning opportunities.
