Background
The Faculty of Medicine, Health and Social Care offers the opportunity for a Midwife to positively contribute to the development of the midwives of tomorrow. You will need to be able to demonstrate commitment to the support and inspiration of healthcare students in their continued quest for knowledge and skills.
The Role
The post holder will actively contribute to pre-registration and post registration Midwifery courses and to wider Faculty provision as appropriate. Additionally, you will develop and sustain collaborative links with local employers and participate in research linked to practice and education.
Requirements
You will be qualified as a Midwife and have previous experience in a variety of midwifery environments. You will preferably hold a good Honours Degree (or an equivalent qualification) and be able to evidence continued personnel development and positive engagement with students. You should hold a mentoring qualification and be willing to undertake further study to develop NMC Lecturer status.
