The School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing to teach across a range of our Mental Health & joint Mental Health nursing programmes, working closely with Mental Health and Learning Disability Service Users and co -teachers, Service partners and other programmes. Secondment welcome.

You will be committed to high quality, evidence-based learning and teaching and be able to facilitate student led, problem-based learning related to a range of Mental Health & Learning Disability nursing principles as well as take on the role of personal tutor. The roles are developmental and will support you towards gaining a nationally recognised teaching qualification (Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice) and the skills & experience to pursue a career in health education.

You will contribute to modules in the pre-registration undergraduate BSc & MSc Programmes, as well as the Registered Nurse Apprenticeship and Nursing Associate programme and on postgraduate modules related to your own expertise. You will also provide support to students during periods of practice placements and act as an academic assessor and facilitate clinical supervision.

The post holder is required to be current on the NMC register as a Mental Health or Learning Disability nurse and will be required to have a Degree in a relevant subject.
